Purpose:

The Rosebud Health Foundation was formed by a group of volunteers in 1996 to ensure that gifts and bequests from grateful healthcare recipients and memorials are used in the local area.

StaffMandate:

To provide an avenue through which the general public may provide bequests and financial support to enhance and improve the delivery of healthcare in the Didsbury District Health Services area.

This mandate is carried out by managing funds from gifts and volunteer efforts to improve the delivery of healthcare by providing funds for equipment and programs.

A volunteer Board of Directors engages in a variety of fund raising activities to provide more dollars for local health care in the Hospital (Acute Care), Long Term Care Units, Home Care Services and Public Health.

The work of the Foundation greatly enhances the services provided already by Alberta Health.

Method:

The Foundation Board endeavours to obtain a priority list of items and needs throughout all phases of local healthcare.  After selecting an item or need, the Board raises funds or uses existing gift dollars to supply that item or need.

Local organizations, clubs, and schools who are looking for a project that will benefit local healthcare are invited to participate in fundraising.
